Description |
Seed dormancy and germination are crucial phases in plant life cycle, characterized by intricate regulatory mechanisms. However, the translational regulation is not fully understood. Here, we investigate that inhibited translation leads to significant delays in germination utilizing translation inhibitors and ribosome-defective mutants. Through comprehensive RNA-seq and Polysome-seq analyses, we elucidate a dynamic interplay of transcriptional and translational regulation during germination. We identify that delayed germination in ribosome-defective mutants is partially due to elevated ABA levels, regulated by the gene ABA2. |
