We established an indexed EMS mutant library for the wheat cultivar KN9204, which is cultivated in northern China. To identify genetic mutation caused by EMS, targeted exome-capture sequencing was performed using probes specifically designed for the KN9204 genome (Wang et al., 2023 Plant Communications). In order to use this population for association mapping, we re-identified the mutations using exome-captured sequencing data generated in our previous work, reducing the loss of mutation information due to previous strict filtering by developing reasonable filtering criteria. In the end, we discovered 4,228,167 mutation sites for 1,839 lines, with 280,747 sites detected in at least 5 lines. |
