Our research confirmed that the homogeneous strains of Plasmodium berghei ANKA and NK65 infected C57BL/6 mice, respectively, caused cerebral malaria and non-cerebral malaria symptoms in the host: infection with the strain ANKA would cause the destruction of the blood-brain barrier in mice, causing cerebral edema, but the infection strain NK65 would not cause the destruction of the blood-brain barrier in mice. In this study, the transcriptome of ANKA and NK65 and the transcriptome of host brain tissues infected with different strains were collected to analyze the correlation between their differentially expressed genes and cerebral malaria, improve the omics data of Plasmodium anomalaria parasite, and submit relevant omics information to the National Parasite Database. |
