Between 2019 and 2023, a total of 3,940 adult mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti and Culex pipiens) were collected from eight ecologically diverse urban and peri-urban sites across Kenya, including Luanda, Kisumu, Kikuyu, Museum, Juja, Masinga, Msambweni, and Ukunda. Both male and female mosquitoes were sampled, although temporal coverage varied across locations due to logistical constraints and seasonal mosquito abundance. This broad spatiotemporal framework allowed for an integrated analysis of host- and geography-associated microbial patterns in mosquitoes across a range of ecological settings |
