描述信息 Symbiotic nitrogen fixation in soybean is critical for productivity and sustainable agriculture, yet its genetic basis remains poorly characterized. We conducted an integrated genome transcriptome analysis of SNF traits in 380 wild and cultivated soybean accessions from across China. Key SNF related phenotypes, including nodule number, nodule weight, root biomass, nitrogen fixation efficiency , and nitrogen fixation activity per plant , were measured. Whole genome resequencing identified over 6.7 million SNPs, and mature nodule transcriptomes were profiled by RNA seq. Genome-wide association studiesdetected multiple loci for SNF traits but with limited resolution due to polygenic architecture and environmental influences. By contrast, transcriptome-wide association studies uncovered hundreds of expressions trait associations for NFE, nodule weight, and NFP, including known regulators and dozens of transcription factors, some in domestication-related selective sweep regions.
