Title Fecal microbiota analysis in ovarian cancer patients reveals potential biomarkers associated with platinum chemotherapy resistance
Relevance Medical
Data types Metagenome
Organisms human gut metagenome
Description Ovarian cancer (OC) remains the most lethal gynecological malignancy, due to its high recurrence rate and elevated resistance to platinum-based chemotherapy. Currently, there is a significant research focus on the correlation between fecal microbiota and tumors, yet the association with OC is still not well understood. Therefore, this study conducted metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) on fecal samples collected from both platinum-sensitive and platinum-resistant OC patients, aiming to establish the correlation between OC chemoresistance and fecal microbiota.
