Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a prevalent inflammatory disorder of the upper airways, driven by dysregulated type 2 immunity and epithelial cell dysfunction. Although the pathophysiology of AR has been extensively studied, the mechanisms underlying negative regulation of allergic responses remain poorly understood. Reportedly, IL24 modulates immune responses by affecting a variety of cells in lower respiratory disease. How IL24 affects the immune microenvironment in the upper respiratory tract is also worth studying. In this study, we used a combination of technique including scRNA seq and bulk RNA-seq to reveal the role of IL24 in chronic airway inflammatory diseases. |
