Four functionally distinct strains-Bacillus subtilis, Lactobacillus plantarum, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and Aspergillus niger-were selected to establish and optimize a solid-state fermentation (SSF) protocol via orthogonal arrays, single-factor assays, and response surface methodology. The resulting microbial consortia and flavor-related metabolites were profiled by 16S rRNA sequencing and feed flavoromics. Finally, a feeding trial evaluated the impact of the fermented diet on growth performance, antioxidant capacity, and intestinal barrier function in growing pigs. |
