Three-month-old mandarin fish (Siniperca chuatsi) were exposed to 25C (control), 30C (moderate heat stress) or 35C (severe heat stress) for 96 h; an additional group was allowed to recover at 25C for 96 h after the 96-h 35C challenge. The temperature was changed at a rate of 0.5C h-1 throughout the experiment. At the end of the treatments, livers from 15 fish per group were pooled, and transcriptome sequencing was performed on the pooled liver samples with three biological replicates per treatment. |
