This project employs high-throughput transcriptome sequencing to investigate the critical roles of the ozf and wc-1 genes in regulating conidiation (asexual spore development) and the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites in the medicinal fungus Cordyceps militaris. By comparing the global gene expression profiles of the ozf and wc-1 mutant strains against a wild-type control, this study aims to unravel the underlying molecular mechanisms and genetic networks governing these vital biological processes. |
