项目标题 Metabolomic impact of maternal barium exposure on miscarriage
涉及领域 Medical
数据类型 Metabonomics
物种名称 Homo sapiens
描述信息 This project investigates the metabolic mechanisms underlying the association between maternal exposure to barium (Ba) and miscarriage. A total of 186 pregnant women were recruited, and both blood Ba levels and decidual tissue metabolomic profiles were analyzed using UHPLC-QExactiveHF-X mass spectrometry. Metabolome-wide association and mediation analyses identified key metabolites and pathways, including glycerophospholipid metabolism and oxidative stress-related metabolites. Five core metabolites were further used to construct a machine learning-based risk prediction model for miscarriage. The study provides new insights into environmental pollutant-induced reproductive toxicity and potential biomarkers for early miscarriage risk assessment.
