This study aims to investigate the cellular spatiotemporal distribution and fate during the post-implantation remodeling of artificial blood vessel (MnVGs) in a rabbit carotid artery model. The results provide insights into the cellular mechanisms governing MnVG remodeling and highlight its potential as a superior, self-remodeling graft by clarifying the spatiotemporal roadmap of cell participation and turnover. The observational objective of this study focuses on the spatiotemporal distribution and fate of cells during the remodeling process of MnVGs. All samples were neo-carotid arteries remodeled from 1.5 cm artificial vascular grafts (MnVGs) implanted into the carotid arteries of 3.5 kg male New Zealand rabbits. Single-cell sequencing samples were neo-carotid arteries at 1 week, 2 weeks, and 4 weeks post-implantation. Spatial transcriptome samples were neo-carotid arteries at 2 weeks and 4 weeks post-implantation. No replicates. |
