描述信息 Dysregulated cholesterol synthesis links to cancer, but its HCC role is unclear. We find DHCR24 Lys254 acetylation (an HCC hallmark) predicts poor survival. It stabilizes DHCR24, boosts 7-ketocholesterol to upregulate p62, driving HCC growth. FDA-approved irbesartan inhibits DHCR24/its acetylation, suppressing HCC. This defines DHCR24 acetylation as a metabolic switch and the axis as an HCC target.
