Gaultheria Kalm ex L. (Ericaceae), known as a natural source of methyl salicylate, possesses rich germplasm resources, strong habitat adaptability, significant ornamental value, and noteworthy pharmacological activities. However, due to the paucity of whole genomic information, genetically related research in these areas remains limited. Consequently, there is an urgent need to obtain the genome data on representative species of this genus with Gaultheria prostrata selected for our study. |
