Phaeodactylum tricornutum is a promising microalgal chassis for fucoxanthin production. This project contains paired-end RNA-seq data generated from monoculture control samples and Halomonas co-culture treatment samples. Libraries were prepared from total RNA with oligo(dT)-based mRNA enrichment and sequenced on an Illumina platform as 2*151 bp reads. The dataset was generated to investigate how co-culture with a beneficial phycosphere Halomonas strain influences algal growth, photosynthetic and respiratory metabolism, and fucoxanthin biosynthesis. |
