The maize inbred lines of N6 and BT-1 were susceptible and resistant to F. verticillioides-associated ear rot (FER) disease, respectively. The kernels after pollination 15 days of these genotypes were inoculated with a single F. verticillioides strain, and the kernels around the inoculation spots were collected at 3 days after inoculation as well as untreated kernels. Total RNA was isolated with Trizol reagent. Equal amount of total RNA from each sample was mixed fro degradome sequencing. |
