Common oat (Avena Sativa) is a globally important cereal grain and forage. Here, we we present a high-quality genome assembly of hulless oat using PacBio long-read data and a Hi-C chromatin interaction map. We also performed whole-genome resequencing for 431 representative wild and cultivated accessions. The new reference genome of naked oat provided a basis for the molecular-based breeding and functional gene discovery in oat. |
