This study employs single-cell RNA sequencing to explore molecular differences in the ampulla and isthmus regions of fallopian tubes affected by hydrosalpinx, ectopic pregnancy, and in healthy controls. We analyzed thousands of cells across conditions to identify unique cellular signatures and pathways. Our findings reveal distinct molecular patterns in hydrosalpinx, characterized by fibrosis-related changes, and in ectopic pregnancy, marked by altered immune responses. This work sheds light on the pathophysiology of these conditions and may inform future diagnostic and treatment approaches for fallopian tube-related infertility. |
