Title Fusarium vanettenii strain isolated from soil-plant enriched with microplastic particles
Organism Fusarium vanettenii
Description Fusarium strain exhibiting the ability to adhere to, colonize and hydrolyze polyester plastics was isolated from a soil-plant enriched system. Genomic analysis, transcriptomic and proteomic profiles highlighted increased expression of esterase and lipase coding proteins as well as some peroxidases. Enzymatic analysis similarly showed increased expression of esterase, lipase and peroxidases.
