Single-cell transcriptomics reveals human prostate cell type diversity relevant to immunity, senescence and cancer
Release date:
2020-08-12
Description:
The development of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) has enabled an unprecedented understanding of the anatomical structures of various organs, including the prostate. While the phenotypical changes during prostate malignant transformation have been studied extensively, it remains elusive as to which cell types and their cellular changes contribute to prostate cancer (PCa), largely due to the cellular changes uncovered through classical methodological assays are dampened by the heterogeneous composition of the prostate tissues. Our study could further our understanding of the unique contributions from specific cell clusters to the malignant transition of prostate tissues, and may explain the cellular mechanisms for the association of aging and PCa development.
For each controlled access study, there is a corresponding Data Access Committee(DAC) to determine the access permissions. Access to actual data files is not managed by NGDC.
