Targeted bisulfite resequencing of differentially methylated regions in preeclampsia
Release date:
2021-05-24
Description:
In a recent early-onset preeclampsia (EOPE) epigenome-wide study (EWAS), we identified 2125 differentially methylated cytosines (DMCs) with epigenome wide significance and suggested antagonistic fetal/maternal adaptations. To validate the findings and investigate methylation patterns around DMCs, we performed a Methylcap targeted bisulfite resequencing (Methylcap-seq) assay of 702 selected DMCs in 103 human placenta samples. 1945 CpG sites were evaluated, including 690 DMCs.
