Fecal microbial analysis of patients with active and in-remission ulcerative colitis

Our study focused on the same patients of UC at different stages, the specific microbiota was identified in 35 paired fecal samples by the metagenomic sequencing, LEfSe analysis, paired t-test analysis, and functional annotation in this study. Our studies suggest that these 13 species may serve as biomarkers for diagnosing the active and in-remission UC. The findings may provide a valuable clinical reference for UC patients who receive the treatment of fecal bacteria transplantation.
