Sepsis is a clinical syndrome in the Intensive Care Unit that is the common final pathway to death from most infections. Blood cells are also affected by sepsis. Peripheral blood gene expression analysis has gained increasing recognition as a potential prognostic or diagnostic tool. This study aimed to identify genes related to sepsis, providing potential translational therapeutic targets
