In this study, we investigated the characteristics of bone marrow MSC derived from young and aged donors by single-cell transcriptomic analysis. As compared to BM-MSCs derived from young donors, aged MSCs showed higher degree of senescence and impaired immunosuppressive function. Moreover, we further explored the molecular mechanisms underpin the downregulation of immunosuppressive function.
