Release date:
2024-09-15
Description:
Here we report the world's highest elevation sedentary site of Mabu Co at 4446 masl, deep in the interior of the Tibetan Plateau 4500~4000 years ago. Our inter-disciplinary study indicates that the site was occupied by early indigenous inhabitants of the plateau who represent the earliest known DNA evidence of foragers ancestral to the southern plateau population.
