Genome wide CRISPR screen identifies global lysine lactyltransferase
Release date:
2024-04-23
Description:
To systematically identify genes responsible for detecting intracellular L-lactate and mediating cGAS inactivation, we performed a genome-wide CRISPR genetic screen in HT1080 cell line. This screen yielded many hints, the top hits (that is, the genes that are most important for the lactate-induced suppression of innate immune surveillance) included alanyl-tRNA synthetase (AARS)2, AARS1 and SLC16A1 (MCT1).
