Potential Molecular Mechanisms of Gastric Adenocarcinoma: Insights from a FANCD2 Gene Mutation Case Analysis
Release date:
2025-03-04
Description:
This study describes the potential role of FANCD2 gene mutations in poorly differentiated gastric adenocarcinoma. A 32-year-old male patient was found to have poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma by gastrointestinal endoscopy, and pathologic examination confirmed that it was poorly differentiated gastric adenocarcinoma. The N1378Sfs*5 mutation in the FANCD2 gene was identified by gene sequencing of postoperative tissues. This mutation leads to the instability and abnormal function of FANCD2 protein, which may promote the development and progression of gastric cancer.
For each controlled access study, there is a corresponding Data Access Committee(DAC) to determine the access permissions. Access to actual data files is not managed by NGDC.
The DAC is established to manage and oversee the data generated from the study on the potential role of FANCD2 gene mutations in poorly differentiated gastric adenocarcinoma. Its main goal is to ensure the responsible and secure access to the valuable data, which includes patient information, gene sequencing results, and other related data. The DAC consist of a multidisciplinary team of experts, including researchers in the field of gastric cancer, geneticists, bioinformaticians, data managers, and legal and ethical advisors. The members of the DAC will be selected based on their expertise and experience in the relevant fields, and will be appointed by the research institution or organization responsible for the study.
