| Description | A total of 145 patient cases who underwent an esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) examination were enrolled in the present study. Endoscopy was performed in the early morning in participants who had not taken any food, water or drugs since the previous night. Gastric juice in the gastric mucous lake was aspirated as much as possible immediately before the endoscopic observation. Gastric juice was aspirated through the forceps channel of the endoscope into a recovery vessel. |
