Rat stool DNA was extracted from the frozen samples according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The V3–V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene was amplified with the primer pair 341F/805R. Sequencing was performed using the Illumina Hiseq 2500 sequencer, producing partially-overlapped 250 bp pair-end reads. |
