The bacterial genomic DNA for cecal contents was extracted using the TIANamp Stool DNA Kit (Tiangen, Beijing, China). The V3-V4 hypervariable region of the 16S rRNA gene was amplified by using the 341F/805R primer pairs and the amplicon sequencing was performed on an Illumina MiSeq platform (Illumina Inc., San Diego, CA, USA).
