DNA extraction was performed using 4.5 ml stool suspensions which have been thawed on ice for 1h after vertexing. A standard stool DNA extraction was conducted using the QIAGEN DNA Stool Mini-Kit (Qiagen) following the manufacturer's instructions. Genomic DNA quality and concentration were analyzed by gel electrophoresis and Nanodrop8067 (Thermo Electron Corp., Waltham, MA, USA), respectively. |
