High-quality genomic DNA was extracted from the tender leaves of Oregano using the CTAB method. For Illumina sequencing, 0.2 μg DNA per sample was used as the input material for the DNA library preparation. The sequencing library was generated using NEB Next Ultra DNA Library Prep Kit for Illumina (NEB, USA) according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
