Gonads of male and female Bb individuals of different genetic backgrounds were carefully dissected under a stereo-microscope. While a portion of them were snap frozen immediately in liquid nitrogen for 20-30 minutes and stored at -80C for other usages, the remaining were homogenized in pre-chilled TRIzol reagent on ice and then sent to Novogene (Tianjing, China) strand-specific transcriptome sequencing. We use the Illumina NovaSeq X Plus platform. |
