Description: The brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB), Halyomorpha halys, is a highly polyphagous insect that feeds on more than 120 plants including field crops, trees, vegetables, and ornamentals. Native to eastern Asia, the BMSB was first discovered in Pennsylvania, then rapidly spread in the Mid-Atlantic region of the USA; damaging crops and distressing homeowners due to their overwintering behavior.
