SATB2-AS1 lncRNA in two osteosarcoma cell lines is present in both the cytoplasmic and nuclear fraction [1].
Function
SATB2-AS1 affects the translational expression of SATB2 gene. In vitro, gain and loss of function approaches demonstrate that SATB2-AS1 regulates cell cycle, cell proliferation, and cell growth [1].
Expression
SATB2-AS1(AC017096.1) is increased in the osteosarcoma compared to paired non-tumor tissues, and SATB2-AS1 is significantly up-regulated in the metastatic tumors compared to non-metastatic tumors [1].
