Function
The expression of EPB41L4A-DT in high-staged tumors was downregulated compared with those with low tumor stage in lung and renal cancers. Aberrant expression of EPB41L4A-DT in tumor tissues indicate that it serves as a tumor suppressor and that its downregulation contributes to tumorigenesis and disease progression. Overexpression of EPB41L4A-DT inhibited tumor cell proliferation in breast, renal, and lung cancer cell lines. [1].
