RAMP2-AS1:RAMP2 antisense RNA 1

Function

Overexpression of RAMP2-AS1 can reduce glioblastoma cell proliferation in vitro and also reduce glioblastoma xenograft tumors in vivo. Overmore, NOTCH3 and RAMP2-AS1 coexpression rescues the inhibitory action of RAMP2-AS1 in glioblastoma cells and RNA pull-down assay reveals a direct interaction of RAMP2-AS1 with DHC10, which may consequently inhibit the expression of NOTCH3 and its downstream signaling molecule HES1 in glioblastoma. [1]

Expression

LncRNA RAMP2-AS1 has significant decrease of expression in glioblastoma tissues and shows coexpressional relationship with NOTCH3, an important tumor promoter in many neoplastic diseases.[1]
