Annotated Information

Name

LINC02231:long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 2231

RP11-766N7.4[1]

Characteristics

Long noncoding RNA RP11-766N7.4, originally discovered by Ensembl GenomeBioinformatics, is located on the reversed strand in 12q14.3 region with a length of 447 bps.[1]

Function

The long noncoding RNA RP11-766N7.4 expression is negatively correlated with lymph node metastasis(P=0.000) and tumor stage (P=0.034). Long noncoding RNA RP11-766N7.4 knockdown promotes cellular migration and invasion via inducing EMT process, and overexpression of long noncoding RNA RP11-766N7.4 inhibites cellular migration and invasion by suppressing EMT process.[1]

Diseases

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma[1]

Expression

RT-qPCR results show that the long noncoding RNA RP11-766N7.4 expression level is remarkably lower in 50 Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) tissue samples compared with the corresponding adjacent tissues.[1]
