Charateristic

TODRA, a lncRNA immediately upstream of RAD51 is transcribed in the opposite direction.[1].

Expression

TODRA is overexpressed in HeLa cells.[1].

Regulation

E2F1 regulates endogenous TODRA transcript levels.[1].

Function

TODRA overexpression in HeLa cells induced expression of TPIP, a member of the TPTE family which includes PTEN.[1]. TODRA lncRNA affects RAD51 dysregulation and RAD51-dependent DSB repair in malignancy.[1]. TODRA promotes homologous recombination repair of DSBs.[1].
