LINC01561: long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1561 (HGNC nomenclature)
Function
LINC01561 is highly expressed in BC cells and acts as a ceRNA of miR-145-5p, up-regulating miR-145-5p’s target gene MMP11. The inhibition of LINC01561 suppressed the growth of BC cells. This provides novel targets of BC [1].
It is inferred that LINC01561 might act as a ceRNA of miR-145-5p in BC, thereby imposes great influence on tumor growth [1].
Regulation
The down-regulation of LINC01561 markedly increases the miR-145-5p expression in mRNA level [1].
LINC01561 could up-regulate MMP11’s expression by the inhibition of miR-145-5p and LINC01561 was a ceRNA of miR-145-5p in BC [1].
The regulation of MMP11 by LINC01561 is of crucial important in BC. By competitive binding miR-145-5p, LINC01561 promotes the expression of MMP11 and the proliferation of the BC cells [1].
