Characteristics
CERNA1 is a 1520bp length validated long noncoding RNA. It locates in chromosome 15 (21.1) and antisense to guanine nucleotide binding protein, beta 5 (GNB5) and myosin VC (MYO5C). [1] CERNA1 is only found in Homo sapiens.[1]
Expression
CERNA1 wis upregulated by ABO (6-amino-2,3-dihydro-3-hydroxymethyl-1,4-benzoxazine) treatment in a dose- and time -dependent manner.
Disease
cardiovascular disease
Function
CERNA1 suppresses apoptosis by targeting miR-4707-5p and miR-4767 in vascular endothelial cells.[1]
