TSPOAP1-AS1 is a lncRNA that may potentially serve as a novel candidate biomarker for the identification of breast cancer (BC) patients at high risk for tumor recurrence.

Name

TSPOAP1-AS1: TSPOAP1, SUPT4H1 and RNF43 antisense RNA 1 (HGNC nomenclature).

Function

TSPOAP1-AS1 is one of the five-lncRNA signature that is involved in BC metastasis-related pathways. Findings indicate that these five lncRNAs may be involved in BC pathogenesis, and also, these lncRNAs may potentially present as novel candidate biomarkers for the identification of BC patients at high risk for tumor recurrence [1].
