Annotated Information

Name

WWOX-AS1:WWOX antisense RNA 1

RP11-190D6.2[1]

Characteristics

Based on the data from USCS database website, lncRNA RP11-190D6.2 is the antisense transcript of protein-coding gene WW domain-containing oxidoreductase (WWOX). [1]

Function

cell proliferative, migratory, and invasive properties were repressed by pcDna-rP11-190D6.2 in h08910-PM cells[1].

RP11-190D6.2 overexpression results in the increase of WWOX expression, whereas its knockdown leads to the decrease of WWOX expression. In addition, the RP11-190D6.2 overexpression and knockdown experiments reveals that RP11-190D6.2 overexpression inhibits proliferation, migration, and invasion abilities in HO8910-PM cells, whereas RP11-190D6.2 knockdown in HEY-A8 cells has the opposite effect[1]

Regulation

RP11-190D6.2 is restored by 5-aza-2′-deoxycytidine treatment in Epithelial ovarian cancer(EOC).[1]

Diseases

Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC).[1]

Expression

relative expression in 33 eOc tissue samples were examined by real-time Pcr and normalized to β-actin expression[1].

Compared with the matched nontumor tissues, the expression level of RP11-190D6.2 in tumor tissues is markedly decreased. Meanwhile, the expression of RP11-190D6.2 is remarkably downregulated in tumors with higher Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage (III/IV) compared with tumors with lower FIGO stage(I/II). In addition, the RP11-190D6.2 expression is positively correlated with WWOX expression(R=0.45519, P<0.00777).[1]
