| Title | Mechanistic study on antiviral innate immune signaling |

| Description | In response to viral infection, intracellular RIG-I-MAVS signaling pathways mediate innate immune responses. Cytoplasmic receptor RIG-I recognizes viral RNA and induces mitochondrial MAVS to form prion like aggregates, which then activates downstream signal transduction pathways, leading to the production of type I interferon and inflammatory cytokines to clear the virus. We will focus on how cells avoid RIG-I recognition of their own RNA, revealing unknown factors and related molecular mechanisms, and ultimately further study their physiological functions and their association with autoimmune diseases on animal model. |
