In this study, we first examine the effect of modifying antenna size on plant physiology, photosynthetic efficiency; then we created mutants of antenna protein of PSII, PsbS and xanthophyll cycle. We found that LHCB1 is a key subunit controlling NPQ, and the PsbS dimer formation involves P132. Furthermore, we identified PsbS interactome using a TurboID proximity labelling-based proteomics strategy. Detailed proteomic analysis identified novel binding partners of PsbS in response to high light. |
