A Genetically Encoded Two-Dimensional Infrared Probe for Enzyme Active-Site Dynamics
Title | A Genetically Encoded Two-Dimensional Infrared Probe for Enzyme Active-Site Dynamics |
---|---|
Description | A genetically encoded two-dimensional infrared probe, N3Y, was developed for monitoring femtosecond to picosecond water dynamics and conformational flexibility of enzyme active sites. The addition of a low concentration of desaturating reagent decreased active-site water motion confinement, which is correlated with a decrease in enzyme activity. |
