| Description | Acupuncture can attenuate visceral hyperalgesia and alleviate the symptoms of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D). In this study, 18 Sprague-Dawley rats aged 4 weeks were randomly divided into three groups:[1]healthy control group;[2]IBS-D model rats;[3]Acupuncture treatment of IBS-D rats (n = 6). The disease model of IBS-D rats was established by rectal dilatation. Acupuncture treatment group (IBSDacu): IBS-D rats were acupuncture for 20 minutes every day, and selected acupoints ST25 (Tianshu) and BL25 (Dachangshu) for 14 days. Urine of rats was collected and metabonomics was studied by positive and negative ion mode of mass spectrometer. |
