DNA methylation in human aging process
Title | DNA methylation in human aging process |
---|---|
Description | In this study, we identified 126,420 clock-like DNA methylation sites (ClockDML) within the human genome. This was achieved through bisulfite capture sequencing of CpG island regions in peripheral blood mononuclear cells, sourced from a diverse age range of donors. We then calculated the correlation coefficient between age and the methylation level at each locus. The DNA methylation status of these ClockDML exhibited a strong correlation with age in our study group. |
