Plasma Small Extracellular Vesicle derived miRNA-based Predictive Model for Immunotherapy-chemotherapy Efficacy in Metastatic Squamous Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Title | Plasma Small Extracellular Vesicle derived miRNA-based Predictive Model for Immunotherapy-chemotherapy Efficacy in Metastatic Squamous Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer |
---|---|
Description | This study aimed to identify plasma small extracellular vesicle (sEV) miRNA biomarkers that could predict treatment outcomes in metastatic squamous NSCLC patients receiving the combination therapy and to develop a predictive model. This multicenter prospective cohort study enrolled 58 driver-negative metastatic squamous NSCLC patients from Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital and Tianjin Chest Hospital between April 2022 and March 2023. The patients received first-line PD-1 inhibitors combined with nab-paclitaxel + carboplatin (TP) or gemcitabine + cisplatin (GP), and serum samples were collected at baseline and after two treatment cycles. A total of 2586 EV miRNAs were analyzed and screened, and apredictive model was established accordingly. The model predicted response of patients to ICI plus chemotherapy, with an area under curve of 0.93 in the training set and 0.95 in the test set, indicating excellent performance. |
