The ellipses shown are not proportional to the sizes of the respective elements. Filled ellipses indicate homologous sequences to stress-responsive elements and empty ellipses represent a TATA box. Striped ellipses indicate putative regulatory sequences which are related with pollen-, embryo- or endosperm-specific gene expression. The OsMT-II-1a gene structure is represented by filled box exons and the lines between the filled boxes correspond to intron.
